“She Used to be a Flirt and was Getting Young Again”

This “aged mother” wanted to be the flirt she once was again, but her daughters found the cost too high. Found in the papers of 1910:

  1. It makes me sick to my stomach every day that the Internet is all phone only now. When you even get a new computer you have to go thru a bunch of Window settings to turn phone stuff off as it thinks you are on one automatically. The web has catered to mobile first mobile only with the ugly flat UI look so no more freedom or personality.

Up thru the Bush era each website was individual and not a ‘social platform’ and you used webrings before Google to explore.
A site like this would’ve been on a Webring for historical newspapers and other sites similar would appear. I was fine before Google.

There was only a brief downturn after the dot com crash people were not updating websites for a while and Google was a breath of fresh air as search engines got stagnant and social media with the aim for phone users screwed it. More and more websites bite the dust.

  2. This is one of the few websites left that ISN’T the phone tablet look unless it is but done cleverly. On a phone people can’t see these newspaper articles and thus if you noticed a lack of traffic that is why. They will come once maybe and find out “Yuck!” not realizing what it looks like on a Pee Cee.

  3. At a store I was going to get a tablet so I can view newspaper articles like on here or when Google kept up on their archives but it was too hard to read.

The store was kind enough to plug to the internet the demo version so I can see if their most powerful tablet could do what I needed it to do. They let me fiddle around for an hour to see as they also wanted to make sure I had a good experience with it before I made a decision.

We found out even to their surprise I couldn’t do these things so we came to the conclusion it wasn’t a good idea to throw away money. I winded up got a cheaper tablet just for videos and saved my self a few hundred dollars.
