That is great, first I have read of a woman to change her mind in the time of one day and marry the groomsman.
I’m sure this was ‘truly a scandal’ during such the time of:
the 1880’s. And as my grandmother was famous for saying: ‘what must the neighbors {our family & friends} be saying about this’….?’ Love it…!
